We cannot believe it is already July! Soon the fall season will be here! The orchard tree’s will be weighed down by fully grown apples. Leaves will begin their gradual change from green to yellow. The world slowly rotates toward winter, boots, and sweater weather. It is the perfect season for a wedding. It is also one of our busiest seasons!
We love the fall at The Meadow Barn. If you are planning a fall wedding, we are here to help! We have great ideas, color schemes and décor.
Let’s start with the most traditional fall wedding décor! Browns, rusty orange, mustard yellow, and greens are always a go-to favorite. Bouquets are stuffed with golden wheat sheaves and larkspur wildflowers. Bridesmaids’ dresses are different fall colors while the groomsmen wear matching bowties. During this season, we see many brides wearing boho style dresses complimented by the groom wearing a light brown suit. A naked cake pulls this whole scheme together!
Perhaps, you are leaning more towards a harvest theme. Trying adding pumpkins and freshly fallen leaves to your décor. Sunflower bouquets are very popular with the harvest theme as well. Dark blues, orange, red, and yellow are a great color scheme to consider. To add a rustic feel, consider adding in mason jars and burlap! This décor will scream rustic elegance and will fit quite nicely with our rustic barn setting.
If you are a little more adventurous, you might consider a Halloween theme! Although this can be considered a wedding faux pas, we promise, it can be just as amazing as any other wedding. You can still use fall décor and colors! Instead of pumpkins, decorate your space with Jack-O-Lanterns. Serve ghost and ghoul cookies or cake pops for dessert. Set up a back drop with black flowers and a neon sign that says “Till Death Do Us Part” for your photo booth! Even consider a black and white wedding dress! If you really love the Halloween holiday, you could use skulls, black candles, and spider webs to get the full effect! You might even consider a Harry Potter or Nightmare Before Christmas theme. The possibilities are endless if you choose Halloween as your scheme!
At The Meadow Barn by Country Orchards, our apples are fully grown by fall. Many brides have chosen to use our apples in their décor! Placing an apple at each table setting or shooting group photos amongst the trees are both great ways to encapsulate the Apple Orchard theme. Our apples pair nicely with all greenery and can be used as decoration or even in your bouquets. We also offer additional amenities such as our Orchard Punch which features freshly squeezed apple juice and can be served hot or cold.
Whether you choose a Harvest or Halloween theme, your wedding will be a beautiful, one-of-a-kind event at The Meadow Barn. We love all the different ideas our couples bring!
